Bear Malik – Founder of KICKED, Captain Silverbeard & “The Mind Mechanic”

Bear Malik is the driving force behind KICKED, a UK-based men’s mental-health not-for-profit foundation dedicated to lifting up men who’ve been kicked down and helping them find their footing again. Drawing on his own battles and guided by the belief that “perseverance prevails when all else fails.”

A consummate creative, Malik’s work speaks for itself. He’s a prolific musician—having played guitar, drums and lead vocals in four bands—and an accidental voice-actor whose video-production company led him to record audiobooks, sleep-aid guides, high-energy commercials and more. Whether he’s behind the camera, sketching in charcoal or crafting a brand identity, Malik lives by the wisdom of  “the one you feed.”

A reference to the tale of two wolves: he knows that focusing on strength and resilience is a choice.

Off-air, you’ll find him chasing the next ride. A biker since age 14, he’s conquered everything from vintage cruisers to modern superbikes—racing at the Isle of Man TT and stunt-riding garage-built “Frankenstein” machines along the way. At most rallies, he even appears as his pirate alter ego Captain Silverbeard, manning a KICKED stall to raise funds for men’s mental health. He often recalls a simple encouragement from a loved one “You can do hard things.”
